Thank you all ever so much for your lovely words and encouragement, it is very much appreciated. I didn’t say in my write up…..I didn’t use any brushes to do this just bits of rag to blend and wipe away the inks which I applied in layers. The detailed work I used one of my mates, “Billy no mates,” feathers, he didn’t mind 😂

No brushes… not a problem, we start to fiddle when we use brushes! I’m liking this one very much…did it need that bit of fence? No, I don’t think so, or perhaps much much smaller! But what do I know?

20”x16” Liquitex acrylic ink and a touch of oil pastel as a resist on gessoed canvas. Lived in the Lincolnshire Fens for a few years and I thought the best time of the day was sunrise and sunsets, when you could bathe in their glory! Didn’t see many sunrises to be fair……. Painted from my sketchbook.
