A beautiful painting. Sorry to read about your arm, hope it heals soon.

Fantastic painting Dympna. So sorry about your accident, hope it heals quickly.

Superb! Feel I want to plunge into that water!

This is a beauty and painted with a palette knife too, hats off to you. Hope your arm repairs soon -- interesting to try left hand painting!

Thank you all for your kind comments. Very keen to get back to painting again, but I have to be patient.

Super work Dympna, the rocks are especially well painted. Sorry to hear about your injury. Perhaps you could try with your left arm? I always paint left handed lol.

Love the rocks and the colours you have used in the superb painting. Due to arthritis I often cannot paint with my right hand , try just some basic sketches with pencil and watercolour with your left hand . You will be surprised it comes in handy , no pun meant when you want to do something normally. It lessens the frustration when you can’t do anything as you normally would .

Oh dear, Dympna, I hope you recover soon. But what a fabulous piece - it so wonderfully captures the colors and scenes of Australia and takes me back to a very enjoyable trip I made to the Western Australian outback a few years ago. I also love the subtle changes of hues and tones which create a lovely depth.

Wishing you a speedy recovery Dympna! Beautiful painting, great colours and textures.

Gorgeous painting, which if asked I'd have said was painted with a brush: you must have a very sure touch, which I hope your broken arm does nothing to impede. Having broken mine a few years ago, it'll take a few months, unfortunately: and do take any physiotherapy offered.

Love the light you have created on the rocks and water. Get well soon .

Love all the colours repeated throughout the painting. Great palette knife work. Must be very frustrating not to be able to paint! Hope everything goes well in your recovery Dympna.

Thank you everyone for the well wishes. It does cheer me up considerably. Much appreciated.

Absolutely terrific work. Speedy recovery, Dympna

Another top notch piece of expertise Dympna hope you improve health and accident wise my very best wishes

Fabulous- I have just found your work - great art Dymna!

61cm x 92cm Oil on canvas. Painted with palette knife only. A lovely walk in the bush in Kalamunda brings you to this lovely location in the Perth Hills. Painted from one of my photographs. Last Monday I tripped and fractured my right arm in two places. So no painting for me for awhile, but I can still post some paintings and post some comments until it heals.
