Breaking the surface

no idea what it is but it's making a hell of a splash. Great work:)

Very clever - it's a leg and foot I think!?

Hilarious. Diana, you are a star.Had to look twice, but just brilliant. (-:

Ha ha Tony , that’s made me laugh. It’s obviously not worked as a subject if it’s not recognisable. Seeing it here, I need to make some effort in getting the foreground defined a bit more value wise despite it being semi abstract. Yes, Heather it is 😂 That happened before when I painted s full sheet size picture of cartoon images helium balloons and some viewers didn’t recognise the subject.

Well Diana this is certainly different. Love the submerged body, although wouldn’t like to be in that position but that splash is great.

Wow, great splash, looks so real

Talk about vibrant!

Got it, well done Heather, great splash!

Always so original, Diana! Can see you’re enjoying the oils.

It’s a big toe ? Great action, congratulations.

Thank you everyone for the comments on this painting. It’s a subject that’s caused a fair bit of confusion as it’s not instantly recognisable! Thank you Carole. My husband spends literally days in this water in all weathers throughout the year! Thank you Romila and Yony. I enjoyed painting the splash but the fragmented colours of the body were difficult. Thank you Katy. The owner of the toe likes it 😂 Thank you Jenny. Yes, I have been really enjoying the change of medium. I really need another work table now so I can choose a messy or cleaner medium. Thanks David and Linda. I asked if the owner of the toe wanted to keep the painting otherwise I would have painted over it.
