Twee? I think not Diana, it looks great to me.

Beautiful I love the sky

Thank you Russell. I think the middle area saved it a bit. Thank you Hilary. I’m pleased you said that because it was a sky Painting exercise.

Its beautiful Diana, no way twee !!!

So very atmospheric, Diana. Love the colours!

This is beautiful Diana. Love everything about it.

Beauriful work, would love to paint like this

Just lovely Diana.

Just another example of your array of talents in different areas Diana. Sterling work.

Beautiful Diana love the colours!

Beautiful- Diana- what a talent!

Thank you Linda I thought it was a bit of a sunrise cliche. Thanks again Mia. There are some incredible sun rises there. Thank you Richard. I loved the silhouette of that gnarled tree. Thank you Carole, I’m glad you like it.

Thank you Jennifer. Watercolour is easiest painted wet on dry because it’s more controlled. Bit by bit, I ventured into wet in wet and really loved taking risks now. Thank you Barry. It’s a wonderful view in all weathers. Thank you Jim. Your feedback really motivates me. Thank you very much Linda. The sky provides us with an incredible spectrum of colours. Thank you Rachel. Such a lovely compliment

That setting sun really attracts the eye and the vagueness of the landscape supports that,

Beautiful painting in every way.

Thank you Stephen. It’s rather satisfying to co piete a painting in less than two hours. Thank you Diane. Comments like yours really inspire and motivate me. I do appreciate it.

This is very beautiful. I love the details of the tree contrasted by the softness elsewhere and the colours are wonderful

Thank you for your thoughts Heather. Lovely to read

Lovely colours and foreground textures, Diana. (1/4 imperial, that’s small for you!)

Great painting; the composition and treatment of the sun/sky/foreground are all very effective.

Hello Jenny. Yes, It was like painting in miniature! I’m using the backs of old class paintings. Thank you William. That fills me with renewed confidence which , like most artists has dips.

Lovely colour harmony, restrained but very effective.

The only twee I see looks absolutely perfect against that magnificent sky.

1/4 imperial watercolour on Saunders Waterford heavy CP paper. Today’s sky looks rather twee but it genuinely was like that.
