Lovely soft washes here Dermot, the warm nearer trees give a nice contrast to the cooler distance.

Love painting soft background in watercolour on the terribly tricky paper I mentioned , you put the background on when the paper is saturated as the paint only bleeds out so far , you have to drop the colours in and leave it alone or you end up with an unholy mess
