That would make a great Christmas card - not that everyone loves snow, but a surprising number do, until - as I found - they break a limb by slipping on it. I like the balance of tonal contrast, and your colour palette.

Wonderful painting Dennis, Love it :)

Yes especially at Christmas many thanks Robert

Lovely loose approach as always Dennis

Great, love the tonal work on this Dennis, winter is my time of year, that's when I love being in the hills. I really like the looseness of this gives a feeling of age to the subject, great pallet, nice one.

There's an appealing sense of lightness and happiness to this, Dennis, and the contrasts of cool blues and violets works really nicely with the warm earth colours.

Thanks so much Maria Michael Malcolm and Caroline

I love this Dennis, it has got a wonderful feeling of calmness and tranquility.

Dennis, this perfectly captures the feeling of a snow scene - lovely composition and colours.

Great Dennis, I like the warm red/brown against the coldness.

Brr. Sure feels cold Dennis, I have a print of a local scene by Jonn McCombs, which has a similar composition, both work very well.

Thanks so much Satu Jenny Carole and Stephen

Dennis that's what I mean about looseness! Exceptional.

Smashing dennis, don't bring it on yet please.

Superb palette, Dennis, as always. Also my next painting will be a snow scene.

Superb again Dennis love it.

Just inspiring!

Great piece of work Dennis!

Many thanks Ruth Russell and Fiona

I bet this took you no time at all Dennis. I love the block- like shapes and the palette of course.

Struggle with pain after half a hour Marjorie

Beautiful contrast of light and shadows, Dennis.

Great lighting in this one Dennis and you've really captured the feeling of cold.

Many thanks Gudrun Seok and Audrey
