Skidby Mill

Been looking at it for about an hour and reckon I'll take it further

Unless I get offered a million for it by somebody you never know 😎😎😎😎😎

Ooo...I don’t know Dennis, already looks good as it is. Love the icy looking pool in the foreground and the light on the roofs of the buildings. I like it in its simplicity.....but you’re a magician and whatever you do it will be magic!

You've got me thinking Fiona. Thanks so much. It could be an interesting evening. I'm thinking of entering it in artist category at TALP this year

Great rendition of icy foreground, not easy to achieve and I like the fuzzy, right hand trees Dennis. You need to wrap up warm for these chilly places. Hope you didn’t paint this outdoors. It looks great as it is, unless you wanted to add some figures.

Yes very possible Carole and I was thinking of some sheep as well. 😎

Maybe Torvile and Dean yes in Swan lake 😎

This has such great atmosphere ... whatever you decide I know it's going to be good!

I'm glad you believe in me Heather it's a real test of bravery I'm going where no man has gone before like Patrick Stewart who I went to junior and senior school with 😗. Beam me up Scottie🤗🤗

I did a quick sketch and took some photos Carole by the way 😎

And and Heather and Fiona.

How about an old rusty tractor in the left foreground or some geese silhouetted in the sky just an idea as it looks great as it is Dennis. The hardest part is knowing when to stop.

Great idea Ronald sounds a bit difficult but great idea 😎

Yes all ideas accepted I don't have a clue what people think any more only what I'm told

Beautiful all scene Dennis, whatever you do will be great 🤗

Thanks Carole I want to amaze you 😍

I wouldn't go with Torvile and Dean myself but Fiddler on the Roof might fit in well. I think it looks great the way it is.

The mill looks good against that lovely sky, Dennis and I like those frosty trees too.

Know what you mean Denise and thanks Anne

And no it's not like a big knob ☺️☺️☺️☺️

I like it the way it is.

Thank you Romilla it's a tough one 😎

Nice painting I agree that a rusty tractor or old cart in the foreground would benefit. It look fine as a snow scene as it is.

Many thanks Paul that's two so if I think I can do it convincingly I just may have a go

Sorry can't offer you a million for it, so how about a couple of ducks (not bucks) skidding on the ice? There again I like as it is, love the wintery colours.

Never mind Maureen maybe next year you'll have that million in small change 😎
