Super tonal values of this very formidable looking farmhouse David. Love your limited palette.

Thank you both very much for those encouraging comments. The palette couldn't be more limited, Carole. To avoid having to set up all my watercolour stuff at the moment, I just keep a tube of Cotman sepia, 3 brushes, a waterpot and board out. Then I print off a couple of ink sketches on to cartridge paper and spend a happy hour doing a couple of pen & sepia wash Colour Trials. I think, from memory, it's near Flash village, Richard, I wasn't as meticulous as usual in noting the location on my sketch, but my photos are from a day's walking around Flash and Gradbach.
