Lovely painting David terrific

I think this could be one of your best yet David! You're producing some great skies, love the form in the distant mountains too.....a really good painting.

Thank you for you comments Dennis and Fiona, yes quite pleased with this one, getting there slowly:) LOL

David, this is super, great composition and and lovely fresh colours and moody sky. (I do, though, find the eye is rather drawn to the broken fence where the colour behind it is so light, but that might just be me!)

Thank you for your comments Jenny, point taken, my intention was to try and emphasise the distance looking down into a valley from a field behind a fence, I did wonder if I had made the fence to large. Any other advice on this would be appreciated.

David, sorry, my comment probably wasn't worded very well - I think the fence itself is a nice strong element to the composition, it was just the broken bit I was referring to - the broken edges just seemed to be quite strong and draw the eye rather a lot against the light blue behind, but others may disagree.

Yes I get what you are saying, thanks Jenny, I think you are right and thanks for the advice.
