Carr Mill Dam in Spring

I had relatives in Woodlands Road, Carr Mill.

Some of my relations lived just across the road from Carr Mill Dam and when we used to visit their family when we were children, we always took a trip to the dam. It had a small gauge railway there a long time ago too, it was great fun! I know Woodlands Road well, down near the East Lancashire Road and Woodlands park. I am working on a collection of paintings called Scenes from a Memory, Pictures of Home. All painted from fond memories, and when I retire from teaching in the Middle East, I want to do a small exhibition to commemorate my return home. Thanks for the comment Roger!
