"Fichter Spitz" (2299m), Tirol, Austria. 76x38cm on Arches rough, 300g.The mountain peaks on the north side of the Inn- valley catch always the latest sunbeams in the afternoon. It was just a very short moment when the white of the snowfields reflected the warm winter sun. Luckily I had my camera with me and I could take a couple of pictures. At home I made a sketch to work out the tonal values and painted a large scale watercolour from my reference material.
