canvas 60x50cms Last June I was on a wonderful sailing trip around the Western Isles. The weather was not great but when the sun stayed it was inspirational. We anchored here for a few days and I was able to get ashore and make sketchbook studies. This loch has the special silica sand used in glassmaking and it is of the purest white cream colour and also extremely soft. In fact it just like flour. Irresistible as a subject really.
