Very nice Charles, like the tree texture and the foreground ferns especially.

What a lovely spot Charles. idillic place, beautiful

This is a great painting Chas not that I expected any less : ) I am back to painting again and will post one soon , its a bit different from my other paintings and it will be interesting to see how it is recieved, I still have a lot of trouble but I see The Specialist : ) next week hopefully he will find a cure , happy painting.

A lovely restful scene Charles.......a feeling you invoke so well in your paintings. Love the lushness of the 'greens'.

Nice and peaceful, and beautifully done - trying to work out what makes your pictures special, I think the single most important thing is your feeling for the shape and growth patterns of trees, obviously your compositional skills, and a very distinctive palette. You have something else in common with Alan Owen, too: seeing your work always makes me want to go and pick up my brush: I don't entirely know why some artists are so much better at doing that than others (Rupert Cordeux is another who does it for me) but - thanks anyway!

Hi Charles - I was wondering where you had got to! Lovely greens as always. I agree with Robert - the real skill is in the way you have convincing branches and twigs. Mine always seem so contrived and false. Nice work.

Yup - you've really captured it - nice one Charles

As Petra said, a lovely spot to paint in, very restful.

A lovely picture - calm and serene. It suggests a cool morning with the promise of a bright day. Great reflections.

Fabulous, as usual, Charles! Love the hint of the stream, which connects the light in the sky with the foreground. It's really effective in moving the eye around.

Can hear the birdies tweeting again here Charles. Lovely calm greens.

They all said it much better than I can, Charles: I agree with all the above. This is again marvellous. Sorry if I do not comment on all your new postings, but being away for 2 weeks (see my Blog "Surprise-party" or "Mia"), I missed about 60 pages. I am browsing backwards, but with my work for my coming exhibition, it seems like a full-time-job!! On the small pictures here above, I can see that you posted some stunning works and I agree with Robert Jones' comment: they make me feel happy!
