This painting was done working quite quickly, with acrylic paints, and palette knife. It was inspired by memories of a boating holiday on the canals and waterways of Britanny, a few years ago... drifting along quiet backwaters, with just the sound of sun- dappled water lapping against the sides, and the occaisional flash of a Turqouise Kingfisher, through the overhanging trees..
