The palette knife has worked very well Chandra. A lovely painting.

Nice and loose and ethereal, lovely painting, mission accomplished.

Lovely and vibrant Chandra.

Very beautiful work, Chandra, you were right not to wait for painting this wonderful poppyfields.

I know what you mean about poppies Chandra, this is beautiful and the palette knife worked really well.

Many thanks, Adele, Willie, Henry, Cesare, Val and Seok for your kind comments, they are all much appreciated!!!

Love this Chandra, great work. The palette knife takes some getting used to but can give stunning results. There are some nice poppy fields where I am at West Dereham

A lovely composition, Chandra, with a gorgeous palette. It does not look like palette knife though, because it is so smooth. It's really lovely.

Thank you so much Gary, and Jennifer for your lovely comments! I have seen the beautiful poppyfields at West Dereham , Gary...they are the very fields that have inspired me as we live quite close to them. Jennifer, I used a brush to do the sky, so that is smooth, but the poppies were done using a palette knife ...The texture is not too obvious in the photo unfortunately.

very effective and beautiful Chandra, nice movement in the sky, like it a lot.

Thank you , Malcolm, your comment is much appreciated!

I've been wanting to paint this field for years , and the other day I thought ,I must just sit down and do it without procrastinating, before the poppies are all gone for another year. I decided to work quite quickly and use a palette knife to give the painting a loose feel and make it semi- abstract.
