Misty morning in Mellor

I like this but I do think a couple of figures strolling along would give it more atmosphere, well painted though.

Love the way the sunlight comes through the trees and I like the muted colour palette too.

Super work Carole, I also like those sunbeams adding to this well painted scene.

Nice work here... looks a little like Ireby, in the northern lakes..??

From the days when I travelled very early in the day through West country villages, this was a familiar scene: the village was still "asleep": divorce of life, and traffic. The only thing I would question as a painter would be the inclusion of the two back and white barriers in the foreground, their presence/placement and/or their "sharpness" of colour and form relative to the tone of the painting. That aside, I do like it.

Superb lighting through the trees. The bollards are a sharp contrast between old and new. I really like this painting.
