Nice atmosphere to this one Carole

I also love those little areas of turquoise Carole. Beautifully painted.

Rather magical, Carole - straight out of a fairy tale :)

Stunning. I love the colours and am also drawn to the turquoise.

This is Very Engaging. Colors are Ethereal.

Lovely contrast of dark and light Carole. Very well painted.

What a stunner this is Carole, great depth to it and an atmosphere not easy to capture.

Love this. Very different and brooding.

Stunning Carole, what a beautiful painting so well done and the reflections and limited colour palette work a treat!

Thank you so much everyone for your encouraging comments. Was a bit unsure of the palette as I usually use much brighter colours but it was the lack of light and tiny bursts of radiance that attracted me. Sometimes it’s worth taking the plunge as really, what is there to loose? Anyway thank you all for your very valued support and happy summer to everyone😍😍😍

Missed this Carole it's a beauty

Thank you so much for your comments Dennis & Russell.

This is so attractive and engaging Carole with the little pools of light and jewel like turquoise.

Thank you for your lovely comment Val.

Oil on board, 12” x 18” I was struck by the lack of light caused by the tree canopy in this little copse but found the smattering of jewel like patches of turquoise blue, irresistible to paint. Out near the Cheviots I took photo references of this scene to enable me to paint this at home.
