Oil painting on board. I treated myself to some new W&N artist oil paints and wanted to paint a view from my son’s journey when he completed the South West Coastal Path. My aim was to bring some depth to the painting and allow the viewer’s eye to ‘dance across’ to the far side of the inlet. For my level, a pretty difficult painting but none-the-less one I thoroughly enjoyed. The painting now just needs to settle before varnishing.
