Lovely rendition Brian! I live in Bournemouth but know this view well and in some ways you have captured a hint of the late, great Roland Hilder in your treatment.

It's nice to see a busy High Street with lots of shops. You have got so much detail in there and I like the colours you have used.

Beautiful as ever, Brian.

I have captured this view of the High Street in Wimborne on more than one occasion, the other was a pencil sketch which I will show some other time. There is a convenient grassed area in front of the Minster where it's possible to make a drawing, set back a few yards from the footpath and passers-by. All it lacks is a seat or a tree for support; working sitting on the grass is not ideal. There are a number of attractions; the fact that it's a motley mix of buildings is enough, for an ex-architect like me. The composition is good - it fits a double leaf in my 7" square Tiger cartridge sketch book quite well.. and it's busy, with people and traffic, both of which I enjoy adding to a scene because they are an easy way to bring scale, perspective and life. It's a two-point; the chimneys and dormers down the right hand side need to observe that. An ink drawing rendered from my W & N sketchers box colours.
