Thank you Stephen, Karen and Carole but the reason it was easier than the challenge is because Steve has already done the hard work on composition. Agree Stephen as you probably know Steve is influenced by Wesson and has actually produced a book on his work with co author Barry Miles.

Thank you Carole, Fiona and Thalia, there is an interesting coincidence in this. I took the painting with me to the meal I have with my three painter friends which includes Steve Hall and he had been painting the same scene but in winter with his students that morning which he had brought to show us.

Thought I would try something a little less taxing than the recent challenge that I posted yesterday. I have turned to the work of my good friend Steve Hall and adapted his Silent Pool painting from one of his books.
