A worthwhile exercise Barry, the silhouette figure and dog being vital to the whole thing.

Absolutely Alan it’s a shame I haven’t got the original image which was portrait format with lots of water on the left, the figure in the far distance and the trees further to the right.

A member of our Art Group brought in a photo and asked me how I would interpret the scene. After a short conversation I could see from her face that she either didn’t understand or agree with my approach. I decided to illustrate my interpretation and produced this ten minute sketch. I have posted it as I feel it demonstrates how quick spontaneous but considered painting often gives very pleasing results.
