I was attracted straight away to this lovely painting as we went to the David Austin rose gardens last week and I purchased four new yellow roses. Your composition is very attractive, and you have really done justice to this lovely flower.

A lovely composition. The green leaves present the perfect background for this beautiful rose and the smaller red flowers form a wonderful contrast.

I`ve painted another rose inspired by Chelsea Flower Show. Having resisted using roses as my subject I`m now looking everywhere for them. They are a wonderful challenge with their shapes colour and tones. I look forward to reading any comments. As usual, I`ve used acrylic on A3 paper
