A super painting Annie. You have really caught the soft texture and colours in the roses, and the gloss you have achieved on the leaves is very realistic.

What a beautiful painting Annie, I can almost smell it! As Julie says you have really captured the velvety texture and subtle colouring of the petals. The greens are lovely too.

I have waited a long time before painting roses, this one has been a lovely one to start with. I saw it first at Chelsea Flower Show this year and I have really enjoyed painting it. Your observations will be very useful. As usual, I have painted in acrylics on A3 paper.
