Seascape

Excellent pastel work. Beautiful colours and so well portrayed.

Lovely portrayal of the sea, those green and blue swirls in the lower left are great. Perhaps a seabird in it would have given it scale, but nevertheless a terrific pastel painting! What was the size of your original picture, please?

Agree. bottom left corner is beautiful as is the breaking wave. Perhaps just a little more detail in the rest of the water. Without anything else to give it scale it seems more like a practice piece than a complete painting but an extremely lovely practice piece.

Yes this was a sort of practice piece. I very much admire the work of Wendy Corbett who does seascapes in pastel. The only pastel I had tried before was of animals. This was just part of an original picture which I enlarged on the computer up to A4. A little artistic licence was used in the painting of it.
