Love the composition, Andre. Good depiction of winter days which can be dreary when the sky is so overcast. Your palette shows this well.

Ruth beat me to it, I also like your composition, the view looking down is terrific Andre also the bit of light reflection on the water really lovely.

It's the green of the water that really attracts me Andre.

You have caught the feel of witer in this scene so well Andre, the sweep off the bay leads the eye through the painting so well.

My first attempt at 'outdoors' painting. The composition was actually only ten yards from the car park. I actually managed all the scene 'en plein air' except the buildings, which I had to finish at home. Really enjoyable but cold. It's all about learning, and something I learned was about setting my gear etc, as I spent too much time faffing about, so eventually my time management was poor. Can't wait to give it another go. Thanks everyone for those comments, much appreciated.

Beautiful winter scene with marvellous colours Andre.

Top marks for perseverence Andre, certainly worth the effort of getting out there. Particularly like the way youve rendered the water, reflecting the weather.

Like this a lot Andre... so you got your pochard...brilliant and you have put it to good use . Isn't Morfa Nefyn the next bay along? .

Yes it is Sylvia, both bays are stunning. Yes got my Pochade box, picked up a great box 1920's/30s, and fitted a attachment to fix a tripod, only problem ,picked the wrong time of year to start, but will persevere.

Great composition, Andre, and I especially like the soft colours you've used.

I missed this one Andre, what a great composition this makes, love it and the paint application.

Well done Andre. Painted outdoors as well, I'm impressed :)

Impressive start to your outdoor painting adventure Andre. Bonus starting this time of year because come the spring you will have it down to a 'T'.

That's a cracker Andre
