Eilean Donan Castle revisited.

A lovely painting to be so small Linda. I admire you artists who can work on such a small scale. I find it very difficult.

This is just brilliant, Linda. Beautiful pen work and lovely colours.

A grey day in the western Highlands Linda. Nice work.

Love the composition Linda, giving the castle a backseat but still very prominent in the landscape. The Buddleia is a lovely touch to give the whole thing depth.

I really like this, Linda.

Nice Linda, an unusual view of it, i will have to look next time i am up there. I usually do it from the recycling area across the bridge. Like what you have done here.

Beautiful, lovely colours

Amazing detail in such a small scale, loving the muted colours Linda.

Lovely painting Linda, as always!

Colours are lovely, Linda.

I like this very much Linda.

An impressive pen and wash, even more so when I found out it was only 5 x 5.

Like this a lot

Stunning, beautiful work

Thank you all so much for your comments, Carole, the thing about painting small is to not get fiddley with detail, just put your washes down first with a large brush, then do your pen detail. Mia and Jim, I love doing moody skies, the moodier the better, always made up!! Fiona, Anne and David, the buddleia was originally in the foreground of the ref. photo taken by my daughter, she always looks for the different approach!! Hilary, Carolyn and Katy, Gillian, Margaret and Diane, so pleased you like the painting and colours. Lewis, its surprising 5 x 5, when it has an 8 x8 mount it makes a nice small space painting!! Heather and Hillary, it's so nice to hear your views.

Love the broken line work Linda gives that real craggy feel to the building and that threatening sky behind really sets the mood, great pallet, nice one.

Thank you Malcolm, i really do appreciate your comments.

Beautiful work, Linda, lovely colours with the buddleia in the foreground.

Great dark sky, great "posting".

Lovely!

This is a little beauty Linda, I must have missed in first time around.
