Just my subject Amanda, draws me in to view thanks. It is a smashing work. Our group of Urban Sketchers has been invited to draw on the Watercress Line preserved steam railway in oct. Course I'm up for it, it's called a Big Draw festival

Hi Derek, yes, the Watercress are doing that during half term. I'm hoping to take my two children along and hopefully get a few sketches in :-)

Looks like an intriguing venue! Glad to see you're still creating work.

Thank you, Gudrun. Our visitor book is full of comments about the building as well as the art! It's one of those lesser known places, on the edge of things - fascinating. I have been so busy (not just with art) that it's been hard to find the time to post!

I'm part of a group of five artists who are currently exhibiting in Reading. The exhibition needs us to be there, but sometimes it's a bit quiet. I was on my own for a while, and it occurred to me what a god fit the exhibition - held in a Victorian turbine house, themed around the location - was to this year's Big Draw theme: Science, Technology, Engineering, ART, Mathematics (STEAM). It's a great venue. And it's a short walk from the big Artangel show at Reading Gaol, if you happen to be in Reading. This drawng was made using a Sailor Fude de Mannen fountain pen loaded with Winsor and Newton Indian Red calligraphy ink, on A3 paper.
