The foregroun shadows give a great sense of mystery and forbodeing. The 'choppiness' works so well for the rocks. Lovely sky too.

Thank you. Lin. It's a good place for mystery and foreboding, is Avebury.

A brush-painted acrylic, but I used large, flat brushes to keep some of the choppiness that a knife gives, and which seems to work well with rocks as subject matter. ~~~~ I took the children to Avebury on a whim (well, actually in a Ford Fusion - I reckon "Whim" might be an excellent brand or model name for two-wheeled transport) last weekend, when it was still summer. This image represents our parting shot - time to go home, but look at the light! ~~~~ Acrylic on canvas, 33 x 55cm
