If you've just started to paint - what, you've really never painted before? - I'm amazed by this work.... I've been at it for years, and I'd be happy with this.. the trees, and the distant mountains, are the star attractions, but the painting works as a unified whole as well. Oil?

A great piece of work Alan, if that is what operations do for artistic talent, who was your surgeon? :))))))<br />The whole thing just works so well, love the mountains, but I am biased towards mountains any way, but everything about this is great, all I can say is if you are just starting, the only way is up, nice one.

Thanks for the comments Robert and Malcolm, i did dabble a bit with painting 20 years ago but hadn&#39;t touched a brush again until June this year. I&#39;ve watched alot of videos on You Tube since then. So far all my work is in acrylic but i will try watercolour soon.
