This is to say thank you for bothering to add advice on the blogs about Artists statements. I have been asked to write one for the society of which i am a member. Frankly, i hadnt a clue what i was supposed to put. I have no formal art qualifications and felt that mine would therefore be pretty thin. I googled as you suggested and found the step approach which i intend to follow. I hope the avoid any pretencious statements but will try to put a positive spin on my work. Also, your gallery is super. I hadnt looked at it before but it is loose, and the subjects are very much my cup of tea. thanks again

Sorry, bit lapse in not replying to you all. Just to say thank you for taking time to comment and to tell you the painting was actually bid for, so it raised money for the charity, which is great news.
