Really attractive warm colours Alan, I look forward to looking at next month's eletter.

A lovely painting Alan. I do like your addition of the purple and the contrast with your ochre shades. Oh and just spotted the little people on the beach! That sort of little detail makes the painting special.

I like the colour combination plus a real sparkle on the sea.

Looks hot in more ways than one I mean very good, Alan

You have the ability to woo the view into a paradisiacal scene but without over egging the pudding. Love the way all the colours relate and the overall harmony you achieve. The sparkle of the sea is so inviting Alan. Will look out for next month’s e-letter.

Yet another beauty Alan great colour

Gorgeous, Alan...wish our new buildings were as attractive as this....our new ones look like Lego, but not as sturdy as Lego. This almost makes me want to move to Spain!

Like this a lot Ala, the colours and shaped of the houses and rocks work really well.

Really like this one, Alan, lovely warm colours, and I especially like the way you've painted the buildings and foreground.

I really like this one, Alan. It's odd how paintings make you re-act...this has the look and feel of a fondly remembered place. Not explaining that very well, but something like that.

A beautiful scene. Love the reflections and light playing on the water.

I can only agree with everyone's comments Alan, yet another brilliant piece. I love the inclusion of the tiny figures on the beach adding further to the sense of scale

Love the colours and the sparkle on the sea Alan

Interesting comments, thank you all so much for taking the time and interest.

Love the colour and execution Alan - really like the visible texture of the under painting.

Superb Alan!

Love the sparkling sea and the almost monochrome buildings, works well together, Alan.

Oil on MDF 20 x 20in. A studio painting worked up from colour sketches made at the scene. Combinations of ochre’s and sienna’s mixed with Quinacridone Violet were used to convey the warmth of the terrain in this stunning coastal landscape. This is one of a handful of Spanish scenes that I am currently working on from my recent trip. As in all of my paintings, my own interpretation of the scene. I’ve done a plein air WIP of a Spanish village, which will be in next month’s e-newsletter – I do hope that you find it interesting, and I’m always happy to answer any questions.
