That looks really interesting, great colour palette, eye catching and different 😀

Looks good, nice to see you are still experimenting and learning new things.

Great strong image Alan.

This has a very modern feel, Alan. Lovely and colourful. The film sound interesting.

Really good Alan, it "grabs " attention.

Quite a change from your recent work Alan, you always have fresh ideas and working practices. Great colours and shapes, lots of freedom there.

Love this semi-abstract landscape Alan. Top line well deserved.

Love your palette! This is a really good painting!

Really very effective Alan, sounds like a good experimental surface to try out, as Linda rightly says eye catching and different!

Very different for you Alan. Looks good . Must check out the surface you have used.

I really love your use of colour - great palette.

Thanks everyone for your encouragement.

I always enjoy seeing your work Alan and you have some very distinctive styles of painting. This virtual abstract is a beauty

Must try this out, Alan. Congrats on your article and being on the top row. Well done!

I’ve been reading quite a lot recently regarding using this film material for drawing and painting on. If you have the current edition of Leisure Painter, you will have seen my report on the letters page, along with this painting. This is a semi-abstract mixed media, and I’ve used acrylic, ink, pencil, gouache and pastel. It’s a slightly unusual surface to work on, quite thick so it lies flat, and takes pencil and charcoal particularly well. It’s semi-transparent, so you could put a photo or say a rough sketch underneath, and use this as a guide. I bought an A4 pad, but it is available in large sheets also. Well worth a go if you like to experiment as I do!
