Thank you for all your comments, I do so much enjoy reading them. I'm getting used to a few names cropping up frequently.<br />Fiona mentioned my branches which I love doing with my rigger brush, I also do much of my initial drawing with it also, preferring not to use pencil. I can though get carried away with the rigger and have to reign myself in at times! Alan

I love the tree in the foreground, in particular the downward hanging branches, some artists would leave them out in case critics thought they were naff. The shadow on the snow is perfect for me, you paint quickly with watercolour and get a result that is very easy to admire.
