The winter sun cast long, dark shadows across the harbour. It was low water and the boat had settled on the sandy bottom, stretching taut the stern rope. The boat lies towards the North facing entrance and the cold blue light from this direction can be seen on the bows. The day looks a lot warmer than it was. The reflections in the still water show the lifeboat station which sits on the quayside above. (I'm not particularly happy with the colours as reproduced here. They're rather harsh.)
