It's so lifelike and convincing Adele. It really is close enough to photographic to me. It has to be in your top drawer of images.

Yes great eyes,Adele. One of my friends had one of these and he was a miniature terrorist!! Definitely had short dog syndrome !! :-)

Thank you everyone for your comments. When I first saw the photo I thought it was a large dog and was very surprised to learn to was so small!

I painted this a few years ago as a raffle prize at our art club exhibition. The winner didn't have a pet himself so nominated his son's dog fo the painting.
