I'm really encouraged by your comments, everyone. I spent 5 days gazing at this on my easel not knowing how I should tackle it. Then I just took the plunge. Glad it turned out fairly well.

Mixed Media. Decided to paint this picture in monochrome. After the first coat was on I decided it looked to flat and boring so reached for my thick gel. Put it on roof to create that old look and then on some of the walls of the cottage, but it didn't work very well - so put on my beloved pumice gel which gives the texture of pebbledash (a bit of artistic licence).
