I've just snapped this happy family on the pool at the bottom of my garden. Canada geese of course, and they arrive every year to . nest. Aren't they great. I know it's not a painting so don't tell me off! - please! Apologies for hijacking this thread.

Sandra I've had a go at all sorts of crafts in my time - parchment craft, cold porcelain, papier mache, all sorts of things including oil and acrylic painting but I have now cleared out all my craft stuff and given away tons and I'm concentrating on my art, that is watercolour and my new found love of coloured pencils. The only thing with CP's is they take sooooo long to do but I'm persevering because I like the control it gives me and I'm learning something every day - thank goodness for YouTube!!

That is a great picture, Alan, and one that can be cropped and painted in many ways. Being in the right place at the right time is a moment of great joy. I read somewhere when I first joined POL that photos as well as paintings were welcome here, and in the gallery, post away, sunshine :) my apologies also for the interruption.

Mines as my name on here really, I just use my sunday or in trouble with mum name in the gallery so its Jennifer Edwards. When im with friends i like to be called Jen.

Thank-you Jen (I look on the POL community as friends so am using your "friend" name). Have just looked at your Gallery (and see that I have searched you before), lovely work, especially your recent bright abstract style works.
