Hiya,
I've decided to kit myself up to go plein air sketching with conte crayons.
I've practised on a very nice Murano pad but find it hard going to fill the tooth.
The crayons break & crumble with the effort involved. I also tried pastel pencils which was a bit laborious too.
I'm guessing the pad is better suited to soft pastels.
I don't layer heavily so wonder if ordinary cartridge paper would be OK?
Any advice appreciated.
