That really is a lovely dappled effect of a woodland scene, Sylvia, and the more you look at it the more shapes appear, On he right hand side, half way down, to my eye, there is a lady wearing a green dress and a purply blue hat, carrying something over her arm, very subtle but its there.
When I went to use my old sepia, Artline, calligraphy pen it too had dried, I dipped it in sepia ink and it works fine.
I've seen many artists dipping small portions of their felts into different colours for a vivid two-tone effect, I only do this with 'old' pens.
