Very interesting Kay. I like the pyramids and the increase of grazing surface for the sheep. The horse is great. Not sure about the heads - probably best to see them in their environment. I can see what you mean about the trumpet - it could easily be another speed camera. (Quite a few cameras look like flamingos, until you look more closely.) I think that there needs to be more public consultation in the commissioning in large public art works - although there are many wonderful works out there, sometimes it just seems to go wrong.
For those of you who haven't managed to see it, here is "the Wave".
We saw it in Kirkwall, Orkney in June last year. It was the first place in Scotland to have it.
How wonderful it looks.
The Plymouth version was the only war memorial used to display the poppies.
