I remember a suggestion about this made a while ago on another thread. I think it was something like splitting the gallery, one part for those artists whose works are regularly liked and commented on, the other part for the rest. Once the parameters were set this should then happen automatically. I don't know how feasible / expensive to set up / desirable this would be but am just putting the idea out there, seeing that the issue has been raised. Robert, you might have an idea as to whether this is workable or not, as you have some involvement with the site? Along with restricting the number of paintings that can be posted at any one time. I'll now stop bombarding you and go and work in the garden!

There are a number of suggestions regarding the current gallery situation, most of which are unworkable and just won't happen. I myself and I'm sure Robert has also made representation to Dawn Farley, our Online Editor, regarding this ongoing issue of multiple postings which is the main bone of contention with most of us.
So, to clarify it to you all once again, any decision to make amendments to the gallery will be made by one person alone and that is our editor Dr Sally Bulgin. Dawn will be putting some points forward to Sally and I'm sure the editor of Leisure Painter, Ingrid Lyon, will also be consulted along with Dawn. I have raised other small issues and no doubt others have as well, but any consultation will not happen until the New Year. Even then, nothing is certain to change, as we must understand that this is a free site to display our work and it does cost money to implement changes.
Having said all that, I do personally hope that things can change regarding multiple postings, it does deter many of us, including myself from participating as much as I would like. To sum up I will quote that well known saying 'The Editor's Decision is Final', so let's all leave this matter and move on.

Thank you Sandra, although I haven't posted any work for a month or so, I will continue to support both the gallery and participate in the forum as I always have done. I am simply limiting the amount of work that I do post at this moment in time.
I have two new Vincent paintings completed and working on a third which is nearing completion.
