CALL FOR ENTRY
I’m seeking artists who use, or have used, art as a way of expressing their experience with medical illness and/or psychological suffering related to depression, sadness, grief, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, diabetes, addiction, abuse, discrimination, cancer, etc., for a book, Art as Medicine (working title).
Ideally, artwork should be a direct response to the artist’s situation, with imagery that conveys the feelings associated with loss – of a relationship, health, functioning, home, trust, security, faith, etc.
Most visual modalities will be considered, including painting, sculpture, ceramics, and textile/fiber art, etc. Deadline: 7/2018. Contact: Andra Stanton MSW [email protected] http://www.andrastanton.com

I inadvertently deleted a couple of your posts, mistaking them for something else - my eyes are beginning to swim under the weight of spam.
I think you still have two left however, the and the way the site works they'll still pop up.
In response - there may be those on here who paint for therapeutic reasons principally: I think most of us just paint because we paint, not because we're endeavouring to deal with various demons. At least, some of us may be, but that's not the primary motivation for doing what we do.
