Like the colour ,the shapes ....but not the verbal content. Personally I don't need it.
Ditto on the shapes and colours - you're always going to have trouble with that sort of language on here, because the site caters for so many different things and people - that's its strength, but at the same time it could be said to be its weakness: we have leisure painters, hobby painters, professionals, would-be professionals, people who have been professionals in the days when you could actually be sure of selling stuff, old people, very old people, children, religious people, conservative people, liberal people .... any number of those are likely to be offended by words or even concepts which fall into the four-letter category. Generally, that doesn't bother me so long as the art is good or at least honest, but then I'm old, raddled, and dissipated and no stranger to vice ..... we do have children who visit the site, though, so while I can see that the words in your paintings are integral to the whole, it would be better for the promotion of general harmony if you could avoid them. There are sites like Deviant Art (which I don't like at all, and am not suggesting your work is deviant either) which might be more suited to these verbal additions; but I hope you won't be deterred from showing your less verbally explicit work here. http://www.isleofwightlandscapes.net http://www.wightpaint.blogspot.co.uk

Mmmm, not too sure about the txt, either, but I do like the colourful works.
Not my cup of tea thanks!
It's in the context of the drug culture and reactions to it - that's its point; but otherwise I think these latter points rather make mine: that language won't be welcome here and is best avoided. Still, provided your work is serious and you're not just trying to shock us all - I don't believe that's your intention by the way, but if it is most of us are far too experienced (or just plain old) to be shocked, but we do have concerns for our very young members - you'll still be welcome: we do have to exercise a certain amount of caution given this is a public forum which is open to people of all ages and opinions. OK, it's conservative up to a point, but there ARE reasons for that - and I hope you'll understand that and bear OUR context in mind. As you can see, the words have got in the way to some extent in preventing a dispassionate understanding of your work - that's the nature of a site like this: it's not that we're a bunch of old prudes but there's a balance to be struck between opening the site to all and everything and repelling those who wish to shield their children from gratuitous offence, which four-letter words still cause. It's not very cutting-edge,perhaps, but that is a limitation of this site which most manage to accept while still posting significant work. http://www.isleofwightlandscapes.net http://www.wightpaint.blogspot.co.uk
Just a wee bit.... :)
