I am part of 2 art groups, one in my own village where I am supposed to be in charge of publicity and I think that I am not doing a very good job of it at present .... Also I am part of an on-line group with artists from the USA, Canada, Australia, UK, Finland and Sweden, The on-line group who like to be called the Vipers have chosen to hold exhibitions in each others part of the world one or two a year, and the first one is in the UK hosted by myself and Jennifer Blenkinsopp from Selby Yorkshire, ((she is a wonderful landscape painter and who also paints Degas copies but differently, if you get my meaning?) She as at least one collector of her Degas style paintings living in the USA) I paint whatever the mood takes me but I prefer pastels, and I am no where near as good as she is. Back to the exhibition: It's to be held at The Brewhouse Galleries, Union Street, Burton-Upon-Trent, Staffordshire, from the 20th October until the 17th November. I am trying to raise some funds for The McMillan Unit in Derby with a raffle but my efforts to get prizes for it have met brick walls, because 50% of any takings have got to be shared out between the other countries charities, or so it seems :( I have just 1 3k bag of sweets from a local shop I am disgusted :( Anyone got a years worth of toothpaste to give the winner of the sweets? :D
