Exhibiting my paintings

Well my studio is almost finished and I will be able to get back to painting soon. Meantime I have been exhibiting my paintings in the gallery at the Eastgate Centre in Basildon. If chosen to exhibit you are required to donate 2 hour sessions twice a week to help in the gallery. I am really enjoying this, I have met lots of amateur artists like myself. Everyone has a different technique and the work hung in the gallery is really diverse. We change our paintings every month and I have sold one so far. As we moved home last year and this is a totally different area for us I was finding it difficult to settle in, I had lived in the last area for 55 years so you can imagine it was a real wrench to leave. Having met lots of new people I am now feeling really at home. Looking forward to a long weekend although lots of jobs to do, shed roof is leaking and weather permitting we are hoping to repair it. Also the floor covering for the studio is being fitted tomorrow. Can't wait to move back into the studio. Happy painting to everyone this bank holiday.
