This week, after my classes in London I bought gladioli. I have now ( in my speedy style) painted them about 10 times. Whilst they are beautifully in flower, I will keep painting. But soon the time will come to try a really detailed pen drawing. And this morning's realisation... I am not a landscape painter. I can, if pressed try one, but I find a can't take in everything around me, and if I try from a photograph, I lose something about the painting.
