I don't seem to have had a lot of time to add to my blog lately but must try harder!!! I have just recovered from some sort of flu virus, three days in bed and getting annoyed because I couldn't get up and do anything. Going a bit stir crazy having not been out because of the snow and then being ill. I'm determined to get on with things now. I don't have any commissions at the moment so am able to paint whatever I like. Have ordered some pastel card from Jackson's and am looking forward to trying out a new surface as I have only used ingres paper before. Am also hoping to start on my own website so watch this space. I tried out some oils recently, did a landscape but found it very messy after using acrylics. As I don't have a studio I was really worried about sloshing around the solvent when cleaning brushes. In some circumstances it is good that the paint remains wet but I am so used to acrylics that I found it frustrating that the paint didn't dry immediately and I had to wait to continue on areas of the painting until it had dried.
