A drawing a day...

A drawing a day...

Jo

I try to do a drawing each day ( or maybe 10)... I have been called "butterfly brain" by fellow student because of the speed of drawing, and the wastage of paper. I can never recreate the same, and I can rarely spend hours on one drawing or painting, unless I am following a really tight style ( such as stippling). I rarely translate drawings into paintings, although I have recently learned to do several sketches first to get the feel before I paint. And when I paint, I draw with the paintbrush, or throw colour at the paper to just get a vague effect. No idea if anything works....

Hi Maureen just checking that your time away went well and the change in weather didn't affect your enjoyment...I assume you are as busy as usual...I am having an easy day for a change and it's very nice too

Hi Maureen really hope you are enjoying your week away...and of course that you are as busy as usual...the only way to be

Hi Maureen just caught your message before I logged off...have a wonderful time...your lunch sounded fantastic I love mushy peas and a good martini...mind you two will knock me on my ear...good you have no valuables in your house there's always someone who wants to take your precious things...you had that robbery at Christmas...it leaves me speachless...well must off so really enjoy yourself and will talk later LOL Patsy XXX

Hi Maureen hope life has settled down for you although I doubt it you are always on the go...but would we have it any other way...I see people who sit on their bums all day without much interest in anything other than the telly sad...I never switch mine on until the evening then Hubby has the controls firmly in his hand so it can be anything from horse racing to car racing motor cycle racing which I love or the history channel usually something about tanks...when he goes to bed I switch to what I want to watch and then usually miss it if I'm painting or talking on here...nice to be busy but good to take a deep breath...have a good weekend

Well much like most who have replied to Maureen I didn't get time to paint.

I think we should start to lobby for a twenty eight hour day and an eight day week because I have the same problem...If it's not demanding people it's geriatric dogs in and our in and out...but at least she still has bladder control...I'm going to start selling tickets for dinner and for over talkative people who fill my mind...by the time I sit down there isn't enough time for getting all my stuff out to paint...now I'm getting withdrawal symptoms and I am painting tonight whatever the time...might talk later if time gets away...hope you are OK and your Sister's knee is on the mend very painful by all accounts

Thanks for the sympathy Phil & Anni, I'm just going to get ready for my visit to hospital for the final (I hope) check on my arm. It never rains but it pours, A friend is coming to lunch and time is flying. Oh! for a day when I can please myself....

Hi Maureen, I know that feeling when you haven't had a chance to pick up the brush or pencil because there has been so many people around...withdrawal symptons start to really bite don't they?.

We [TM & I] know that feeling...our moment is coming soon..hope all is going well for you at the moment...
