Pauline Warriner

Biography

I have drawn and painted for as long as l can remember. At school, when l was thirteen l won a prize for my work which was then hung in an exhibition at The Royal Academy. I emigrated to Australia and lived there for almost a decade in my twenties but returned to England and later completed an honours degree in History. Craft work has been my pastime, making art dolls, sculpting animals, embroidery, sewing, in fact l am a hoarder of all things that can be remade into another piece of artwork. Earlier this year l renewed a friendship with Carole, an artist in her own right, who encouraged me to paint again and so here l am. I belong to Blackburn Artists Society and am thoroughly enjoying working with them.
