Biography
I have been painting for about 30 years. I have been concentrating on watercolours which I started with all those years ago. I like the fluid and fresh appearance of this even though it is so difficult and like to try to keep this look in acrylics, pastels and oil. I love the use of ink with watercolour which I usually apply after finishing the watercolour, quickly picking out shapes. I love doing portraits - mostly in pastel and oil although occasionally in watercolour. I think life would be dull without the excitement of art. In November 2023 I moved from Devon to Co. Armagh in Northern Ireland where I was born, after 50 years away. I now have a nice studio where I paint with friends sometimes and that is a great joy.
